A gift from above

Meet the gac fruit. Colorful and covered in spines, she’s no wallflower. This climbing vine can be found in Southeast Asia, growing in the wild and gracing the entrances of rural homes. In Vietnam, her color and flavor are so highly prized, she’s used to season a rice dish called xoi gac, served only at special occasions such as weddings.

Gac is a fruit, but she’s also a healthy tradition. Known as “mubiezi” in traditional Chinese medicine, gac seeds are employed for a wide variety of internal and external uses. In Vietnam, the seed membranes are used to address dry eyes and support healthy vision. There, she’s considered “a gift from above”.*

While the vine is abundant and hardy, the gac only fruits once a year. But we thought she was worth stocking up on.

Introducing Gac•Chi™, an optimized whole fruit blend of purees and juices from Pure Fruit Technologies featuring the heavenly gac fruit. Drink just an ounce a day for better health.*
